What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser. Browser local storage is another way to remember a choice on your device. The rules for cookies can also apply to similar technologies; a different storage method does not automatically remove the need for consent.
Storage strictly necessary for a service you request may be used without optional-cookie consent. Other cookies and trackers require consent where applicable law says so. The website currently has no map or video consent controls; removing those controls does not change applicable consent requirements.
Website storage
The current website configuration does not include first-party analytics tags or advertising pixels. The contact form does not require a tracking cookie. The website no longer saves map or video preferences and removes the previous external-content preference from local storage when its page script runs. The following cookies support administrative functions:
- wordpress_test_cookie: checks whether cookies work on the administrative login screen; normally a session cookie.
- wordpress_[hash], wordpress_sec_[hash], and wordpress_logged_in_[hash]: maintain an authorised WordPress login. Session cookies are used by default; selecting Remember Me allows persistent login. These are not required for ordinary public browsing.
- wp-settings-[user ID] and wp-settings-time-[user ID]: remember interface settings for signed-in website users, normally for up to one year.
Cookie suffixes depend on the site or user, and not every cookie above is set in every session. Server-side inquiry records and security rate limits are not browser cookies; their use is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Third-party services
The Contact page embeds Google Maps directly, without a separate consent prompt. External video players load after you click a video. Locally hosted video files and cover images do not require a connection to an external video provider. YouTube players use the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain, which does not mean that the provider receives no data or that consent is never required.
When an external map or player loads, the provider receives connection information, such as your IP address and browser details, and may read or store identifiers under its own policy. The provider controls the names and lifetimes of its storage; these can vary with your interaction, account, browser, and region.
For Google Maps and YouTube, see Google Privacy Policy and Google’s use of cookies.
Browser controls
Use your browser settings to block third-party cookies or content and to inspect or clear stored data. These settings may affect maps, video playback, or other website functions. The website does not provide a separate Privacy choices dialog.
To avoid connecting to an external video provider, do not start its video. The Contact map can connect to Google without a separate click; use your browser’s content controls if you wish to block it. Blocking administrative cookies may prevent login. The inquiry form does not require administrative cookies.
Clearing cookies or leaving a page cannot undo information already sent to a provider. Browser controls apply to that browser, not automatically to another device.
Updates
This policy describes the configuration at the date shown above. New analytics, advertising, or external-content services need a separate privacy review and any consent controls required by applicable law before they are enabled.
